Hello everyone! I hope that everyone had a great Valentine’s Day and welcome to my day on the Jocole Blog tour! I am always up for sewing for myself a little bit and Jocole was one of my first pattern companies that I ever purchased from. So I am super excited to sew up some of the patterns I have never used.
I originally asked to sew up the Ladies Peplum Top to pair with the Ladies Skinny Pants. So I picked out my fabrics and the first decision I made was to exaggerate the high low hem of the peplum top. I extended the back almost six inches and redrew the curve to ensure it match the front. For the pants, I used a stretch twill that I have had in my stash for a long time from Fabric.com. (I love to buy my fabric there now that the shipping is so fast!) And shortly after beginning, I was modelling my Jocole outfit.
Did you see that amazing fishtail I am rocking? Let me zoom in on it for you!
But alas, I was not in love. I loved the pants and the shirt but not as a set…. I ugh-ed and groaning through the pictures and decided to change things around. So I pulled out my Jocole arsenal and decided to add the ladies knit pencil skirt onto the peplum to make it a dress. Then I realized I was having a fabric crisis. So I had to creatively colorblock that skirt to make it the ultimate high fashion! 🙂 And alas, the dress was born.
Add in my favorite pair of black booties and I was feeling fabulous in my urban jungle!
I ended up using the above the knee length and wasn’t feeling too self conscious about it. And that fishtail hem was still looking amazing.
That is what I love most about Jocole patterns! The versatility of the patterns and the flexibility of mixing and matching! So grab one or a few of the patterns for yourself. And before you leave, don’t forget to spread the love!

Great job! I love everything! The exagerated fishtail is awesome! Maybe make the Classic tee to go with the skinnies?
