Hello! I am back with another blog tour!! And today I am here celebrating the first anniversary and a huge sale over at Designer Stitch! So welcome to my blog post!
I have had the pleasure of working with Ann, the mastermind behind Designer Stitch, a few times over the past year. Her patterns are amazing! I have learned so much about fitting garments to my shape and felt great while doing it! I am looking forward to sewing up more of her collection as I return to my non-pregnancy shape.
But today, I sewed up the Gypsy Tunic Dress! I love how quickly and easily this pattern came together. My fabric was definitely thicker than the pattern called for and so it gives a different look than a flowy fabric would. I have the pattern still on my to-do pile to sew up another!
This pattern has a huge size range and goes true to measurements. Mine is a little big but we will call that post-partum measuring issues! There are also different lengths: top, tunic, high-low or a full length with side splits! There are two neck options: a round neck or crossover. And the facings allow for a perfect summer garment!
This one I cut a little longer than a tunic and took a tiny hem so I had a cute length for summer BBQ and outdoor events. I hope to find a large sunhat and some cute sandals and give off a “day at the races” type of vibe!
So head over to the Designer Stitch website where everything is 50% off in celebration and grab some patterns! Which of us sews enough for ourselves anyway?!? And then head over to the Designer Stitch Pattern Support Facebook group and show off your creations! A huge thank you to Ann for allowing us to sew up her wonderful patterns and having such an amazing sale, Sarah for running yet another blog tour (we are going to have to get her a superhero cape) and to my amazing tour blogger friends. Check out their posts before you head off and see what they created!
