Hello! I am the last stop on the At School and At Play blog tour by Sisboom!
Since my daughter starts school next week, this was the perfect excuse to sew up at least one more outfit for her before sending her off to 4th grade! (Disclaimer: the patterns I sewed were given to me in exchange for my participation in this blog tour and my honest opinions of them!)
I chose to sew the Tobago Top and the Katie Fancy Pants for my little Diva! She is anti-dress this season because of her desire to run and play and not be hindered. And I think she imagines herself to be more mature!
These patterns both came together so quickly that I forgot how much I love Sisboom patterns! The instructions are so clear and complete that I can sew most of their patterns up in less than 2 hours! And neither of these was an exception.
You can customize the length with both patterns which makes for easy customization and with my quick-growing children that is a must!
Since I am the tail end of this tour, I am going to give you all a chance to win your own copy of one of the patterns that I used in the tour! Sooooo leave me a comment, tell me your favorite Sisboom pattern, your planned back to school outfit or anything you want really! And I will randomly choose 2 people to receive either the Katie Fancy Pants or the Tobago Top! (Contest ends at 6AM PST on 9/3/16)
Thank you all for stopping by and reading my blog! Thanks to Sisboom for always giving me a quality pattern to work with, that is not to be taken for granted! The amazing Jeanine, for organizing this tour and being so awesome and my fellow bloggers for keeping me inspired! Check out the other stops on the tour and let them know what you think! See you soon!
Don’t forget to use the code BACK2SCHOOL for 40% off of all Sisboom patterns on Sisboom.com or the Sisboom Etsy store until Sept. 4th! And head over to the Sisboom Facebook Group to participate in a back to school sewalong!

Your daughter and your outfit are lovely! My little is also going into 4th grade this year but she still loves her dresses. She is obsessed with all things emoji right now so I suspect that will be her first day of school outfit.

That’s cool how you used the fabric to make an outfit rather than separates!

I’m a little late, but still stopping by. I love your pants. I’m curious if you used the facings to hem or added length. I made these for the tour and this is the first time I’ve ever seen plants finished like this. Very interesting. I’ve been left wondering if this is a usual technique and I have just not made enough pants.

This pattern uses facings. I have seen both ways on pants patterns so I am not sure which one is usually but I like the ease of facings to get a good even hem.
