So I love this sweatshirt so much! And my first almost mistake was my fabric choice. The animal print fleece was my super cheap clearance find and it is super soft and cuddly. But it is also super stretchy and made doing my welt pockets a nightmare! So alas, I color-blocked the front and used a more stable fleece for the bottom half. Success! It also helped a ton with doing the collar. And it looks like I meant to do it!
Aren’t those details to die for! And she loves it so much! There is so much care in all of the details of this pattern and how everything comes together is simply magic!
Okay last few pictures!

The next best feature about this pattern is the ease of construction. I would say this took under 2 hours of me sewing and binge watching Netflix…
The long sleeves were long enough that she feel comfy and free to move in all of her unique ways!
And a quick look at a pattern that I tested from this same issue of One Thimble…. Call Ajaire has contributed the stunning Crossover Flounce Dress which is not only unique but twirly and fun! This dress is fully reversible and my version was one back from the last one so I believe the bodice was fitted a little more. With no closures and endless chances to customize, the Crossover Flounce is a win!
I want to thank Jen from One Thimble for doing everything she does to make such a wonderful magazine possible. I also want to thank Amy from MQ Patterns for trusting me to review and Ajaire from Call Ajaire for choosing me to test her beautiful dress!
I also want to thank everyone for reading! This post is a beast I know and I appreciate your time and value your opinions. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think?
